Wenger Corporation – which provides equipment and solutions for performing arts, music education and athletic storage – has acquired Creative Conners, a stage automation technology specialist based in Cranston, Rhode Island.
Wenger Corporation said the acquisition expands its capabilities in the performing arts sector and “reinforces its commitment to providing integrated, world-class solutions for performance venues and theatrical productions”.
Founded in 1946, Wenger Corporation’s products include acoustical shells, staging, theatrical rigging solutions, music rehearsal equipment and storage systems. Through its brands – Wenger, J.R. Clancy and GearBoss – the company serves a wide range of customers including K-12 schools, universities and professional performance venues worldwide.
Creative Conners, founded in 2004, is a specialist in stage automation solutions. The company designs and manufactures a comprehensive line of automation products that power complex motion on stages around the world – used by theatres, opera houses and touring productions.

The acquisition is effective immediately. Operations at Creative Conners’ headquarters in Rhode Island will continue as usual, with plans to integrate both teams’ expertise and product lines in the coming months. Wenger Corporation said customers can expect uninterrupted service and exciting new opportunities as the Creative Conners brand continues to grow with Wenger Corporation.
