Adamson, a Canadian manufacturer of professional audio solutions, will be represented by local distributor StageMix at this year’s Palm Expo, a professional audiovisual exhibition to be held on 29-31 May in Mumbai, India. StageMix will be responsible for the debut of Adamson’s new VGt series of large-format line array loudspeakers, the first member of the brand’s Vergence Group.

“India represents an exciting and fast-growing market for Adamson, and we are thrilled to introduce our VGt loudspeakers at Palm Expo,” said Pieter van Hoogdalem, business development strategist at Adamson. “StageMix will present a range of Adamson solutions, but the spotlight will be firmly on the VGt and its potential for large-scale live events and venues.”
VGt is a large-format line array loudspeaker, including eight transducers, amplification, a networked DSP endpoint and Autolock rigging. It is designed to offer a lightweight and compact package. Adamson said the M140 MF compression drivers introduce technologies “redefining the quality of the mid-frequency range”. VGt is designed to provide uniform 90° horizontal coverage across its entire frequency range, while outputting an “impressive SPL with ultra-low distortion”.
“India is growing at a record pace in both the concert and touring industry, ahead of its Asian peers,” said Karan Nagpal, co-owner of StageMix. “The VGt is a milestone box that projects audio with an unmatched resolution, especially in the vocal mid-range thanks to the M140 Kevlar compression drivers. This along with the flexibility in connection and transmission of signals over AVB makes the box extremely versatile for control and signal flow with redundancy. We’re very excited to use it on upcoming festivals.”
