New range of loudspeakers from Bose Professional

Bose Professional has launched its new DesignMax family of loudspeakers, with immediate shipping in Europe and US shipping available later in November 2019.

The range includes 10 loudspeakers and two subwoofers – including ceiling- and surface-mounted options in either black or white – so system designers can tailor DesignMax to fit applications of any size.

The loudspeakers are available in a wide range of sizes, from 2in (5.08cm) low-profile models to 8in (20.32cm) woofer models with a coaxially mounted compression driver.

Bose has designed all the models to deliver crisp sound, with no equalisation adjustments or digital signal processing required. Select models leverage the Bose Dispersion Alignment system to provide wide and consistent off-axis response.

For optimised aesthetics, the range features surface enclosures, minimum-bezel grilles and removable logos that enable DesignMax to blend with any décor. The surface-mounted models feature hidden U-brackets. This ensures the loudspeakers are held closer to the wall while providing a much cleaner appearance.

There are QuickHold mounting mechanisms on each DesignMax loudspeaker to make installation easier and quicker. The surface-mounted models snap into the QuickHold U-bracket, which allows installers to adjust the pitch then lock the loudspeaker in place to complete the installation. For ceiling-mounted models, the loudspeakers push into the ceiling opening where the QuickHold mounting arms spring into place to hold the loudspeaker.

All models include Euroblock connectors, and ceiling-mounted models include plenum-rated backcans, tile-bridges and front-access audio wiring, to simplify installation and troubleshooting.
